Loux Custom Instruments started ten years ago in Ryan Loux's basement with simple hand tools and scrap pieces of wood as a personal project. Curiosity and love for the art of customized guitar making has flourished into something more than just an art project.

Guitar building isn't a hobby or a niche to pass free time with. To put it plainly, it's an obsession. Loux Custom Instruments has been hand crafting instruments for over 10 years. Using only the finest woods, LCI strives to deliver one of the finest instruments available. In the Loux workshop you won't find a CNC machine. All Loux Custom Instruments are hand crafted and built with the utmost attention to detail.

Loux Custom Instruments has created guitars for musicians ranging from the top 40 list, to your every day musician looking for more than just an off the shelf, commercialized instrument.

The goal at Loux Custom Instruments is to create a piece of art that is not only pleasing to the ear but also to the eye.

Recently Loux Custom Instruments finished a custom bass order for Dean Bernardini from the band Chevelle! Check out pictures of this project in the photo gallery. The project was a blast and turned out amazing! We will be working together on a few more orders from this fantastic trio.

Loux Custom Instruments is moving the workshop to a new better location! The much needed expansion will be a nice relief and give more creative inspiration.

LCI is currently designing a new "Retro" line of instruments and offering a few different styles of this design, adding new variations to the line throughout the year.

Loux Custom Instruments is planning on releasing our own custom amplifiers in 2010.
